• Organized in 1949, home for the group at
the time was a Navy mess hall at Sidney Taylor Airport until 1987. Later moved to Lake Helen where members remodeled an old schoolhouse into a 150-seat theatre. Non-profit, all-volunteer community theatre group produces six plays in a regular sea- son. And a summer childrens show.

Tours of the home are offered on the hour, Monday through Friday, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Please make advance reserva- tions for groups of 10 or more. Rockefeller Gardens is a spectacular riverfront park where a multitude of community events occur. The site is available for rentals, wedding cere- monies and receptions.

Cassen Park
Cassen Park is a 3.7 acre riverfront park locat- ed along the Halifax River. A bait shop, boat docks, a fishing pier stretching under the Granada Bridge, cleaning stations, and ample parking are all available on site. There are also picnic tables and charcoal grills available. 1 South Beach Street

Central Park System
The Central Park Systems consists of four parks totaling over 149 acres. There are gaze- bos, playgrounds, picnic pavilions and the G.F. Althouse nature trail with plant and bird identification markers nestled throughout the parks. Five large peaceful lakes are situated on the property with fishing and viewing access and a beautiful overlook provided by the Joyce Ebbets fishing pier. There are also canoe/kayak ramps conveniently located throughout with lake interconnects creating a waterway system to access all the lakes. Park picnic pavilions are available for rental for your next gathering. An Environmental Learning Center is set to break ground in 2015.
